i'm trying my best to focus and muddle through an impressively dreary subject with terms that sound utterly foreign (Vested remainder subject to divestment???)
thisguided walk through kolkata and these pictures help me remember that there is plenty more out there than implied reciprocal negative servitudes, even if it doesn't seem like that right now...
i'm a book whore and a dog fanatic. a graduate of dartmouth college in '05, i recently returned home from a fellowship in india. i'm now in the midst of grad school and am trying to remember to take things day by day. i bite my nails. i tend to bake up a storm. i spill things, easily and often. i enjoy beauty products and finding bargains in unexpected places. i can wiggle my ears. i'm a sucker for stationery. i love things that make me laugh.

Thankfully there are coconuts out there to keep those crazy enough to be walking around kolkata in this weather from collapsing from heat exhaustion!
I've been on CalWalks, and they're pretty awesome -- although I wish the nyt article had a few more pictures of different classes of life in India.
Hope life back in the US has been good this year!
always,
Lily
